LAST MINUTE NOTES ON TASK FORCE 1942

1. The install program crashes on some machines with unusual
hardware combinations.  We try to auto-detect sound cards during
the Hardware Configuration portion of the install, and this
code will not handle all combinations of peripheral cards.  Rather
than remove the feature, we allow the user to bypass the auto-
detect feature by running the install program as follows:

"INSTALL -S"

2. ATTENTION: for those players who want to get into a battle with the
minimum of trouble, and want an easy scenario to practice gunnery
and torpedo firing:  we have a saved game ready to load for you.
Just load the "A Time to Live and a Time to Die" game.  This will put
you in a Japanese destroyer against some defenseless American
transports.

There are also a number of other saved games that our play-testers
put together that might interesting to you.



               NEW MICROPROSE 900 NUMBER HINT LINE SERVICE

Effective October 1, 1992 the MicroProse 900 Hint Line will commence 
operation. Information will be available on a range of gaming cat-
egories, such as Strategy, Role-Playing, Animated Graphic Adventure, 
Simulation,Video Game Cartidges, and Sports.

Realms, Twilight 2000, Civilization, Railroad Tycoon, Global 
Conquest, Command H.Q., The Ancient Art of War in the Skies, Rex 
Nebular, F-15 Strike Eagle for the Nintendo NES, David Leadbetter's 
Greens and, of course, Task Force 1942.

Information will also be available about new game releases and 
retail store locations. Callers will also be available to transfer
